Ãœnal Aysal

Ünal Aysal (born 2 June 1941 in Istanbul) is a Turkish businessman. He is since 2011 the president of the Turkish sports club Galatasaray.

Life and work

Ünal Aysal visited the Galatasaray High School, which he completed in 1960. He then studied law at Istanbul University and later at the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. From 1970 to 1972 he worked at the Koç Holding as coordinator of foreign trade and in 1974, founded the company International Unit in Brussels, Belgium. Aysal is in the oil business since 1984 and involved in the production of electronic devices. He is President of the Unit Group, which consists of 23 companies. He was honored in 1999 by the President of Turkey as the best representatives of Turkish companies abroad.
