The University of Macerata (Italian: Università degli Studi di Macerata; Latin: Universatis Maceratensis ) is a public university in the brand - based in the city of Macerata - and one of the oldest universities in Italy.

The University of Macerata on July 1, 1540 by papal bull by Pope Paul III. been established with the four faculties of law, theology, medicine and philosophy.
