Upper Rhine Railway

The Upper Rhine Railway is a railway line from Basel to Konstanz. It was built by the Grand Ducal Baden State Railways as part of the Baden Mainline, which follows up the Rhine from Mannheim to Konstanz.

History

From Basel Baden train station to Bad Säckingen the first part was opened on February 4, 1856, already on October 30, 1856 Waldshut was reached. From November 2012 to October 2013, the section between Erzingen and Schaffhausen was expanded to double track and electrified at the same time. Current operation
