Uppsala County

Uppsala County is a province ( län) in Sweden.

Geography

The territory of Uppsala County accounts for 1.7 % of the area of the Swedish territory. On 1 January 2007 the municipality of Heby moved over to the province Uppsala County from the province Västmanland County. This was wanted in a referendum in 1998, 57.7 percent of the population. Then the formal decision was taken for 23 September 2005.
