Valdimar Grimsson ( born December 5, 1965 in Iceland ) is a former Icelandic handball player.

The Icelandic national team of the Right Wing took part in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and was thanks to his 35 goals in fourth. In the Men's Handball World Championship men in Japan in 1997, he was elected as the third- leading scorer with 52 goals in the All- Star team. In the European Handball Championship 2000, he was second top scorer with 41 goals. In total he scored 940 goals in 271 internationals.

With Valur Reykjavík he won in 1988, 1989 and 1991, the Icelandic Championship and 1988, 1990, 1993 the trophy. With KA Akureyri he won the trophy in 1995 and 1997 the championship.
