Véronique Mang

Véronique Mang (* December 15, 1984 in Douala ) is a French sprinter of Cameroonian descent.

1995, at the age of 11, she moved with her mother to France. A year later she started running. By 2003 they started for Cameroon, then, since they had French citizenship, for France. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, she won the team bronze medal in the 4 x 100 - meter relay along with teammates Muriel Hurtis, Sylviane Félix and Christine Arron. In the 100 -meter run this Olympics she was eliminated in the quarterfinals.

In 2006, she came at the European Championships in Gothenburg over 100m semi-finals.

After she had hardly participated in competitions in 2008 and 2009, she appeared in 2010 in top form and won the silver medal over 100 meters at the European Championships in Barcelona with a gap of only 0.01 seconds to the winner Verena Sailer.

Véronique Mang is 1,73 m tall and weighs 59 kg. It currently starts for the Entente Franco Ville Cesame Val d'Oise and is coached by Olivier Marchand.
