VfB Einheit zu Pankow

VfB unit to Pankow 1893 ( officially: Association for Motion games / Unit to Pankow 1893 eV ) is a football club from the north- Berlin district of Pankow in the same district. It was created in 1991 from the merger of the two clubs SG unit Pankow and VfB Pankow to 1893, its roots go back to the 1893 founded VfB Pankow.

History of VfB Pankow

1893-1945

VfB Pankow was founded on August 10, 1893 and was one of the founding clubs of the German Football Association (DFB). On September 28, 1899, the Pankow Lawn Tennis Association concluded in 1896 at VfB. In football, VfB belonged from 1918 to Oberliga Berlin. 1945-1951

Instead of dissolved VfB sporting community Pankow- Nord was founded in 1945. This played out in 1947 in the Berlin city league and was allowed to use the name VfB Pankow again from 1948. As of 1949, founded in West Berlin VBB in the following summer the contract player system introduced, it took the GDR sports leadership as an opportunity to withdraw the two East German teams VfB Pankow and Union Oberschoeneweide from the Berlin city league and the season 1950/51 in the highest East German football league to integrate the DDR Oberliga. Unit Pankow 1951 - 1954

The GDR sports leadership, however, was determined to continue to let them play a Berlin team in the highest soccer class after next VfB also Union Oberschoeneweide and Lichtenberg had 47 of the losers. On 13 August 1951, the football section of the GDR issued a communiqué in which it was informed that the BSG Einheit East Berlin is included in the Oberliga. BSG Berlin Transport

After descending the BSG Einheit Pankow was connected to the BSG Lok Lichtenberg in September 1954. The BSG Lok took over the district court League of BSG unit and increased after the 1957 season in the DDR II league. On September 1, 1958, the BSG was renamed Berlin public transport and increased after the 1959 season again in the fourth division at that time District League Berlin. BSG Einheit Pankow from 1957

Since 1957, played a BSG Lok Pankow in the district league Berlin. On 1 January 1958 merged with the BSG Lok Lok Pankow Construction Union Buchholz to the new BSG Einheit Pankow. The roots of the Buchholz BSG are the sports group formed in 1946, Buchholz, had become of the 1949 BSG VEB Buchholz and 1950, the sports community Buchholz. VfB Pankow (West Berlin )
