VIA Eden

VIA Technologies VIA Eden denoted by a series of PC processors, which are passively cooled and build on an x86 architecture. A distinction is made between VIA Eden ESP, VIA Eden -N, VIA Eden ULV and VIA Eden. The differences are in the package ( EBGA, NanoBGA or NanoBGA2 ) and the processor core used. The first VIA Eden ESP CPUs based on the VIA C3 processor with Samuel -2 or Nehemiah core, the VIA Eden -N also based on the VIA C3 " Nehemiah " core, while the VIA Eden ULV and VIA Eden based on the VIA C7 Esther core. Therefore, the models also differ in the available instruction extension (such as 3DNow!, Or SSE2 ), their performance and power consumption. In general, the stresses in the CPUs Eden are lower than their C3 or C7 counterparts.
