Vicentine Alps

The Vizentiner Alps ( also Vicenza Alps or Vizentiner Alps, Italian Prealpi Vicenza- ) are a mountain range in the eastern Alps in Trentino and in the provinces of Verona and Vicenza. The mountain was named after lying on the eastern city of Vicenza. The highest point of the group is Dodici ( 2336 m asl ) on the northern edge of the mountain range.

Boundary

The Alpine Club classification of the Eastern Alps (AVE ) defines the Vizentiner Alps as follows: In the West, the Adige limited from Verona to Trento the group. To the east the Fersental forms the border, followed by Sugana ( Brenta ) to Bassano del Grappa, in the northern Italian plains, from where again Verona is achieved.

Surrounding mountain ranges are the Lake Garda mountains, in the north Fleimstaler Alps and the Dolomites in the east to the west.
