Victor Leydet

Victor Leydet ( born July 3, 1845 in Aix -en- Provence, † October 22, 1908 in Paris) was a French politician. He was from 1881 to 1897 deputy in the National Assembly, 1897-1908 Member of the Senate.

Leydet made ​​a career as an industrialist, before he moved to the National Assembly in 1881. There he was a member of the radical Republicans. In the elections of 1885, 1889 and 1893, he was re-elected each. In 1897 he moved to the department of Bouches -du -Rhône in the Senate, where he replaced the late Paul Challemel - Lacour. From 1900 to 1902 he was secretary of the Senate. After his reelection in 1903, he was from 1905 to 1906 as Vice President. Leydet unexpectedly died in 1908, while he was still working in the Senate.
