Victor Sieg

Charles -Victor victory ( born August 8, 1837 in Turckheim, † April 1899 ) was a French organist and composer.

The son of the organist, pianist and composer Constant win studied at the Conservatoire de Paris organ with François Benoist and composition with Ambroise Thomas. He received second prizes in the subjects of harmony (1860 ) and Organ ( 1863) and won the 1864 Premier Grand Prix de Rome with the cantata Ivanhoe on a text by Victor Roussy, which was also performed at the Paris Opera in November of the year.

In the same year he became organist at the great organ of Notre Dame in Paris's Clignancourt. Designed by the architect Paul -Eugène Lequeux church was inaugurated in 1863. He also was a supervisor for the singing lessons in the public schools of Paris.

From win some piano works have survived, including Trois Impromptus, a Tarentelle and a Caprice - Valse.
