Viggo Jensen (footballer born 1947)
Viggo Jensen ( born September 15, 1947 in Esbjerg ) is a former Danish football player, coach and official.
Career as a player
Clubs
Jensen played from 1953 to 1965 in the Youth for Skærbæk IF, Thor Odense and B 1909 Odense. In 1966 he was hired by the first division and champions Esbjerg fB. In the first two seasons, Jensen was no league match use. He made his debut only (Matchday 4 ) on 28 April 1968 the 0-2 defeat in the away match against BK Frem København. His first league goal he scored on October 6, 1968 ( 19th Round ) in a 5-1 victory at home against B 1909 the deficit to intermediate 3:1. After nine league games and two goals, Jensen played in the episode season only six league games, his last on October 5, 1969 ( 18th Round ) joined in the 0-3 defeat at home to B 1909. 1970 Jensen for Mitabsteiger B 1909 the 1971 up-and 1972, the immediate re descent took place.
Even during the current season, he was obliged to season 1973 /74 of Bundesliga club Bayern Munich. His first of only five games he played on November 10, 1973 ( 15th Round ) in a 4-1 victory in the home match against Hamburger SV. On 20 March 1974, he came in the quarter -final second leg at the 1-2 defeat at CSKA Sofia in the European Champions Cup for international use. Since he was unable to prevail at Bayern, he became German champion and European Cup winners 1974 second division SpVgg Fürth.
After four years, 102 league games, five goals and three inserts in the DFB Cup competition, Jensen returned to Denmark and played two years for Odense BK and again for B 1909 Odense, where he finished his playing career in 1980.
National
Jensen made his debut in the national team on 1 September 1970 in Naestved 2-2 draw of the U- 21 team against the U -21 Poland. His last game for this selection team he played on November 14, 1972 in Esbjerg, which was lost to Poland 0-2.
Between 1971 and 1973 he carried eight times the jersey of the national team; for the first time on 30 June 1971 in Copenhagen in the 1-3 defeat in the Test match against the national team of Germany. His last international game he played on November 21, 1973 in Paris during the 0-3 defeat against the French national team.
Career as a coach and official
Jensen looked after beginning his coaching career, first some subclassed victory Danish clubs. In 1988 he was elected coach of the year in Denmark. In 1989 he held parallel to his job in Silkeborg, the Office of the coach of the Danish under-21 national team. After an interlude in the Swedish first division club Malmö FF, he returned to Denmark and took over at relatively short intervals the coaches offices in Odense, Viborg, Århus, Esbjerg and Silkeborg. In July 2007 he took over the Estonian national team, but had to give up the job again in November 2007. From 2008 to 2010 he was an assistant coach at his already multiple employer Odense BK. In 2011 he took over briefly the position of head coach at Vejle BK.
In 2011 he took up the post of Sporting conductor at the Danish top-flight relegation Esbjerg fB. From November 2012 to June 2013, he coached the first division club Silkeborg IF; the club was relegated to the second division at the end of the season.
