Vince McMahon
Vincent Kennedy McMahon ( born August 24, 1945 in Pinehurst, North Carolina ), the son of Vincent James McMahon, is an American entrepreneur and chairman of the media company WWE. He occasionally performed as a wrestler.
Vince McMahon is married to Linda McMahon and has two children: Shane, the one time WWF Hardcore and European had ever champion and Stephanie, the 2000, the WWF Women's Championship won.
Career
Entrepreneur
McMahon bought 1983, the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) from his father, Vincent J. McMahon. As a partner of the WWF Titan Sports Inc. has been registered, of which he was president. With McMahon at the top began from this time, the conversion of a sport to an entertainment company. It was the former primarily focused on the sport wrestling, which at the regional level has been very popular since the early 20th century to today extended the usual show elements. - The World Bodybuilding Federation was an attempt to commercialize the sport of bodybuilding stronger, and build your own marketing of fitness products with the brand WBF. After a short time the project was discontinued.
- The XFL was founded as a rival to the American Football League NFL was canceled after only one season again, with McMahon's assets decreased during nine months of previously estimated 1.1 billion U.S. dollars to 700 million. With the failed XFL experiment McMahon also lost his place in the Forbes ranking of the 400 richest Americans.
Currently McMahon operates next to the wrestling yet a film production company (WWE Studios) and a record company (WWE Music Group ).
McMahon received on 14 March 2008 a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Such an award is given for decades to personalities who have made a great achievement in the fields of television, radio, film and music.
On July 18, 2011 Triple H announced on WWE Raw that McMahon is relieved of his duties and that he had taken office of the COO, so the operational manager of the WWE. However, this was only one element of a storyline, as McMahon WWE Inc. continues to lead.
Wrestlers
Since the late 1990s, McMahon appeared at irregular intervals in the ring. On 16 September 1999 he won at the age of 54 years the WWE Championship title from Triple H, which he made himself champion of the oldest WWE. McMahon feud had several programs, but worked mostly in those with the absolute top stars. Several storylines were knitted by McMahon and his family, which were built many a time in the ring and actions are.
Finally, at the beginning of 2007, McMahon started a feud with Donald Trump. Known as "The Battle of Billionaires " designated feud aimed to strengthen the media interest for the shows of both. Both participants walked through secondary Danten (Bobby Lashley for Trump; Umaga for McMahon ) at WrestleMania and Trump could win, after McMahon had to shave off his hair.
On 29 April 2007, Vince McMahon made Champion at Backlash for the ECW World after a 3 vs. 1 handicap match with his son Shane and Umaga against Bobby Lashley. On 3 June 2007, WWE One Night Stand McMahon gave the title to a Street Fight again to Lashley.
