Vinings is a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia, which is located in Cobb County. Vinings is located right on the border of the city of Atlanta, which is formed by the Chattahoochee River and which is also the border between Atlanta and Cobb County. Vinings is known as a somewhat upscale residential area and the seat of the DIY retailer Home Depot. The main street is the Vinings Paces Ferry Road, which led to an earlier operated by Hardy Pace ferry across the Chattahoochee. The center of Vinings lies between the river and Interstate 285, which forms a ring around Atlanta.

Originally Vinings a small settlement outside of Atlanta near a small station. Not far from the city of Atlanta, Vinings was a day trip to the city dwellers. The location on the road to the nearby Pace Ferry allowed easy access to the river. Today there are around the crossing Railroad / Paces Ferry Road a versatile shopping district. Between the shopping district and the river and a wooded residential area with mostly make individual houses. Between the shopping district and the I -285 is a mixed commercial and residential area consisting mostly of multi-storey office buildings and residential complexes.
