Despite frequent mention written in the 17th and 18th centuries, the local wine leads a shadowy existence, since the main use of agricultural land at the site was a long time in the olive cultivation. This should only change with the heavy frosts of 1929 and 1956. Was there before 1929 for about 55,000 olive trees on the territory of the municipality, so it was after the frost of 1956 only 7000th

The acreage of wine to rose in return of 484 acres to over 2000 acres in 2005. Among these 1387 hectares for the production of quality wine are permitted. In 2006, however, only 386 hectares have been declared under the appellation Vinsobres. The average yield was quite low at 37 hectoliters / hectare.

Until the appointment of the municipality appellation in 2006, the quality wines have been marketed as Côtes du Rhône Villages.
