Vitellozzo Cardinal Vitelli

Vitellozzo Vitelli (* 1531 in Città di Castello, Italy, † November 19, 1568 in Rome ) was a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Vitelli was from 1554 to 1560 Bishop of Città di Castello. Then he had for one year held the office of bishop of Imola before he was from 1567 Bishop of Carcassonne. In addition, Vitelli was a member of the Roman Curia and from 1564 to 1568 Cardinal Chamberlain of the Roman Catholic Church. Pope Paul IV appointed him on March 15, 1557 cardinal. From 1564, he was cardinal deacon of Santa Maria in Via Lata.
