Vítězslav Veselý

Vítězslav Vesely ( born February 27, 1983 in Hodonín ) is a Czech javelin thrower.

In 2008, he reached a personal best of 81.20 meters in the qualification the finals at the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008., Where he reached 76.76 m, however, only the twelfth and last place. At the World Championships in Berlin in 2009, he failed to qualify. A year later, he was ninth at the European Championships in 2010 and abolished on May 8 in Olomouc his then- personal best of 86.45 m.

His biggest success was by then a fourth place at the World Championships in Daegu 2011 with Saisonbestleisung of 84.11 m. In 2012 he succeeded in the Diamond League meeting in Oslo a new personal best of 88.11 m. Three weeks later he won with 83.72 m title at the European Championships 2012 in Helsinki.

At the 2012 Olympic Games in London in the qualification with 88.34 m he had a new personal best, which also meant a Jahresweltbestleistung and number 21 in the eternal world leaderboard. In the final he missed having a width of 83.34 m, the medal places and just was fourth.

At the World Championships in Moscow in 2013, he secured with a throw of 87.17 meters in the first attempt for the title.
