Vladimir Stojković

Vladimir Stojkovic (Cyrillic: Владимир Стојковић; born July 28, 1983 in Loznica, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian football goalkeeper.

Career

In the club

Stojkovic began his career at FK Zemun goalkeeper in 2003. As great hope, he joined the 2005/06 season to Red Star Belgrade. Only a season later, Stojkovic went to France for FC Nantes. From there he was hired in January 2007 for half a year to the Dutch team Vitesse Arnhem.

Since July 2007 he is at Sporting Lisbon in Portugal under contract, of him at Getafe, awarded in January 2010 to the English first division club Wigan Athletic and in August 2010 at Partizan Belgrade. 2009 Together with Cléo Stojkovic is now after 20 years, the first player who previously played for Red Star and later moved to city rivals Partizan Belgrade. In the result, there were death threats in the European Championship qualifier against Serbia in Genoa Italy escalated on 12 October 2010, so Stojkovic to went to the cabin of the home team and in fear of their own "fans" refused aground.

In the National Team

As an international, he already took part in the U-21 European Championship in Germany in 2004 and 2006 in Portugal. He was in 2004 with the team of Serbia and Montenegro European vice-champion

With the Serbian- Montenegrin national team, he was at the 2006 World Cup as a reserve goalkeeper in Germany and thereby qualified with the Serbian national team for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. He played in all three group games with the team.

With the Serbian Olympic team, he participated at the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008.
