Vlčetínec

Vlčetínec (in Czech until 2000: German Vlčetinec Wilschetinetz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers south of Kamenice nad Lipou and belongs to Okres Jindřichův Hradec.

Geography

Vlčetínec is located in the southern part of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands right side of the valley of Kamenice. South of the village rises the Kostelík (602 m) and west of the Radlína ( 599 m).

Neighboring towns are Gabrielka in the north, Vodná in the northeast, Zdar in the southeast, Hadravova Rosička in the south and Dívčí Kopy in the southwest.

History

Vlčetínec was founded in the 13th century. Was first documented the village in 1359. At that time the place was still the name Vlčetín. The village belonged to the rule Kamenice, which was in the possession of the Lords of Bechyně. After the extinction of the race followed 1389, the men of Straz and then the Sternberger. Middle of the 16th century acquired the Malovci Malovic the rule.

After the Battle of White Mountain, the goods of Mattheus Sigismund Wenzelik of Vrchoviště, who had the dominion were confiscated and sold by Emperor Ferdinand II in 1623 to the Spanish nobleman Heinrich Paradys of Eskavie. From its hereditary Vlčetín coincided with the Černovice proportion to his son Martin Heinrich Paradys. After the Lords of Paradys who were notorious as subjects flayers, followed in January 1799 Nádherný who sold the property in 1806 Johann Josef Rilke. 1821 acquired Eugen Vratislav of Mitrovice the rule and four years later, in January Kanka. Last owner in 1831 Johann Heinrich Freiherr von Geymüller. After the replacement of patrimonial Vlčetínec 1848 an independent village.

On November 1, 2000 when a change of the name Vlčetinec in Vlčetínec.
