The Seaview - A secret mission, known as " Mission Seaview " ( Voyage to the bottom of the sea ) is an American science fiction television series from the 1960s. The main role is played by the atomic submarine Seaview, which is a research submarine to the outside, but in reality is a high-tech battle submarine.

In Germany, the series ran under the name of The Seaview - A secret mission for the first time on 17 December 1994 on ProSieben.

The series ran on American television on 14 September 1964 to 15 September 1968. Were shot a total of 110 episodes in 4 seasons.

Inventor and producer of the series was Irwin Allen. The series is as a mix between espionage and science fiction.
