Vsevolod Rauzer

Vsevolod Alfredowitsch Rauser (Russian Всеволод Альфредович Раузер, scientific transliteration Vsevolod Al'fredovič Rauzer; * October 16, 1908, † 1941 in Leningrad ) was one in the 1930s to the strongest Russian chess players.

In 1929 he was awarded the title of Master of Sports. In 1936 he was second in the championship of Leningrad. He was also a participant in six Soviet state championships 1927-1937, but failed to reach the front seats there. After he retired due to illness from active tournament play.
