Vysoká pri Morave

Vysoká pri Morave ( until 1948 slovak " Hochštetno "; German Hochstetten or Hochstätten, Hungarian Nagymagasfalu - 1888-1907 Magasfalu - to 1882 Hochstettnó ) is a municipality in western Slovakia.

Location

The place is located in the region Zahorie on the banks of March ( Morava ), which forms the border with Austria. It is located in the conservation area Zahorie ( Slow Chranena krajinná oblasť Zahorie ). The neighboring municipalities are Záhorská Ves and Zohor, the nearest towns Malacky ( northeast), Stupava (southeast) and the capital Bratislava ( south-southeast ).

History

The first written mention was made in 1271 under the name Znoyssa.
