Wadi Fira Region

Wadi Fira is a region of Chad, and corresponds to the former Biltine Prefecture. Its capital is Biltine. The region has about 262,000 inhabitants.

Geography

Wadi Fira is located in the east of the country, covers an area of 46,850 km ² and borders the Darfur region of Sudan.

Subdivision

The region is divided into three departments ( départements).

Population

As the neighboring region Wadai Wadi Fira is also affected by refugee flows from the affected by the conflict in Darfur Sudan.
