Text

We three kings of Orient are; Bearing gifts we traverse afar, Field and fountain, moor and mountain, Following yonder star.

Frankincense to offer have I; Incense owns a Deity nigh; Prayer and praising, voices raising, Worshipping God on high.

Myrrh is mine, its bitter perfume Breathes a life of gathering gloom; Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying, Sealed in the stone cold tomb.

Glorious now behold Him do arise; King and God and sacrifice; Alleluia, Alleluia, Sounds through the earth and skies.

( All three) We are three kings from the East, Bring gifts from afar, About field and source, moor and mountain If we follow that star.

( Melchior ) Born a King on Bethlehem's floor, Gold I bring to crown Him again, King for ever, incessantly, About to rule them all.

( Caspar ) Offer incense I have, Incense of a deity is close, Prayer and price, all raise their voices, Pray him to God in the highest.

( Balthasar ) Myrrh comes from me, ye bitter scent Breathes a life of accumulated gloom; Mourning, sighing, bleeding, dying, Sealed in the icy grave.

( All) Glorious now, see him rise; King and God and sacrifice; Alleluia, Alleluia, Sounds it to the earth and sky.
