Welton is a small town ( with a status of "City" ) in Clinton County in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Iowa. In 2010, Welton had 165 inhabitants.

Geography

Welton is located in the center of Clinton County at 41 ° 54'29 " north latitude and 90 ° 35'43 " west longitude and extending over 0.71 km ². The place is located about 35 km west of the Mississippi River, which forms the border with Illinois. The border with Wisconsin is located about 70 km north. Welton is the only independent municipality in Welton Township.

The eastern ring road of Welton forms of U.S. Highway 61 All other roads are subordinate, partly unpaved driveways and local roads.
