Werthein family

Hein value is the name of a family of entrepreneurs in Argentina.

The ancestors of the value Hein, Leon and Anne value Hein family emigrated in 1904 from Bessarabia in Russia to Argentina. They have settled in the village of Miguel Riglos in the province of La Pampa. In 1905 they established there a small business for animals, fruits, seeds and fuels. Leon and Anne value Hein had eight children, including Gregorio, Numo, Noel and Julio Werthein.

The brothers Gregorio, Numo and Noel (1911-2002) Werthein parental farm have continually expanded from about 1930. The Gregorio, Numo y Noel Werthein SA was founded in 1969 and comprises an agricultural field and a fruit area. The agricultural sector has over 100,000 acres of land and over 45,000 cattle. It produces wheat, corn, sunflower, soybean, cotton, popcorn, candy, sunflower oil, black beans, red beans, and beef. The area produces fruit apples, pears, peaches, apricots, plums and strawberries in dried form and as a juice concentrate. The company is based in Cipolletti. Nearly entire production is exported to the U.S. and Europe or delivered to the manufacturers Kellogg's and Quaker. In May 2008, it came to longer strikes by workers for better working conditions.

Her brother Julio value Hein ( born April 7, 1918) was involved already in the 40s in the banking sector.

Banco Mercantil Argentino
