West Region (Cameroon)

West (English ) or Ouest (French ), is a region of Cameroon with capital Bafoussam.

Geography

The region is located in the west of the country, bordered to the north by the Northwest Region, on the northeast by the Adamawa Region, on the southwest by the Littoral region, in the east and southeast to the regional center and to the west by the South West region. In the north of the province of the Bamenda Highlands in the north- west the Bambouto massif extends, with 2,740 yards, the third highest mountain of Cameroon, and the Manengouba.

The region is divided into eight districts. In the table below, each district is assigned to the district capital.
