Wielfresen until the end of 2014 a municipality with 573 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Germany in Styria. Geography

Wielfresen is at the southeastern slope of the Kor at an altitude from 400 to 2000 meters. The place is a scattered settlement with farms into over 1,000 meters above sea level. Geology

Climate

History

Coat of arms

The award of the municipality coat of arms came into effect on 1 July 1979.

The coat of arms shows a red, broken into three parts Richtrad with eleven spokes as an attribute of Saint Catherine on silvery background. From the cracks grow outwards green birch branches ( birch slaw = Fresen ) with top and bottom three each with five leaves.
