William Hood Treacher

Sir William Hood Treacher KCMG (* December 1, 1849, † May 3, 1919 ) was the first British colonial governor of North Borneo.

Before Treacher on August 26, 1881 took office as governor, his office was temporarily accommodated in Labuan. Obviously there were differences with the local governor, after which the office was moved to Kudat. He held until 1887, the governorship. This was followed by uses as a resident in 1892 in Kuala Lumpur and then from 1896 in Perak. From 1901 he was resident-general of the Federated Malay States and in 1904 was put to rest. In 1914, he spent seven companies in Southeast Asia.
