Wilma van den Berg

Wilma van Gool (actually Wilhelmina Catharina Maria Martina van Gool, nee van den Berg, born August 11, 1947 in Uden ) is a former Dutch sprinter.

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, it reached about 100 m semi-final, left more than 200 m from the lead and came up with the Dutch team in the 4 x 100 - meter relay team to fourth place. The following year, she won over 100 meters at the European Athletics Championships in 1969 in Athens and silver was over 200 m in fourth. In 1970, she won at the Indoor Athletics Championships in Vienna Bronze about 60 m and at the Universiade silver over 100 meters and bronze over 200m.

At the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 she left about 100 meters from the quarter-finals. About 200 m, she qualified for the semifinals, but refrained after the attack on the Israeli team to a start.

Seven times she became Dutch champion in the 100 m (1967, 1969-1972, 1974, 1976) and six times more than 200 m (1967, 1969-1972, 1976). In the hall she took in 1970, 1972 and 1973 the national title over 60 m.
