World Games 2005
The 7th World Games 2005 were held until July 24, 2005 in Duisburg on 14. Well as numerous sporting events in the twin cities of Oberhausen, Mülheim an der Ruhr and in Bottrop. The competitions were held in 25 different sports venues, most of them at the Sportpark Duisburg. Here was also the so-called World Games Plaza, the central meeting place for athletes and place of the cultural program was in all World Games.
Overall, more than 3,000 athletes from around the world speak in 40 non-Olympic sports.
Sports
There competitions were held in 39 sports categories Artistry and Dance Sports, precision sports, trend sports, martial arts, ball sports and weight training. In the invitation sport Aikido no competitions are held. Instead, several country delegations have demonstrated their skills. In addition, as part of the World Games, a major international Aikido seminar was conducted.

Results
In the medals table, Russia was successful with 27 gold medals nation, followed by Germany and Italy. Austria and Switzerland landed on the 13th and 14th
