World Masterpiece Theater
World Masterpiece Theater (Japanese世界 名作 剧场, Sekai Meisaku Gekijo ), short WMT, referred to a number of anime series, which are 1974-1997 and emerged again since 2007 and are based on novels.
First Meisaku applies Heidi, that was produced like all other WMT by Nippon Animation (or Zuiyo Enterprise). In the following years was aired on Fuji TV every year a new series. Appeared in 1993 with Tico, a great friend, a series that was not based on the presentation of a book. In 1997, the number of adaptations of novels has been set since the last two series Meiken Lassie Ie Naki Ko Remi and no longer meet the expectations. 2007, she was with Les Misérables: Shōjo Cosette resumed that aired on Fuji TV's satellite channel BS Fuji; but only ran until 2009.
Worked with anime greats like Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki 's turn. Almost all productions were broadcast on German television.
