World Ski Orienteering Championships
The Ski - Orienteering World Championships (World Ski Orienteering Championships, shortly Ski WOC ) are from the World Orienteering Federation ( IOF) has been held since 1975. The world championships are held every two years, which was 1980 and 2005 thereof departed.
Originally there were only two disciplines: one individual event and one relay. 1988, a competition was introduced via the short distance, the 2002 middle distance with the introduction of the sprint. Since 2011 there is a competition for mixed teams. In each case, a man and a woman running in a team alternately in three rounds.
