Yekaterina Golubeva

Yekaterina Golubeva Nikolaevna (Russian Екатерина Николаевна Голубева, also known as Katia Golubeva and Katerina, born October 9, 1966 in Leningrad, Soviet Union; † August 14, 2011 in Paris) was a Soviet- Russian and French actress.

Biography

Yekaterina Golubeva was discovered by Lithuanian director Šarūnas Bartas (whom she later married ) with whom she wrote the screenplay of A Casa and 1997. She turned to the French auteur film, in particular by Claire Denis and Léos Carax.

Yekaterina Golubeva was the mother of three children. She played her last role in the award-winning film Dom s baschenkoj the Ukrainian director Eva Neymann, which was published only in 2012 after her death.

Yekaterina Golubeva died completely by surprise with only 44 years, details about the circumstances of her death were never announced. She was buried at the Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris.
