Yenice, Çanakkale

Yenice is a town and a district in the northwestern Turkish province of Çanakkale. The city is located about 80 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital of Çanakkale. In 2011 the town had 6892 inhabitants, the county 35 056.

The district lies to the east of the province, it borders the south and east by the province of Balıkesir and to the west by the circles Bayramiç Çan and Biga. He is from Gonen Çayı, the ancient Aisepos, flow-through, which is dammed about ten kilometers east of Yenice to Gonen Baraji. He continues to flow north through the Balıkesir Province and flows into the Bay of Misakça Erdek in the Sea of ​​Marmara. To the south is the mountain range Sakar Dagi, an offshoot of the Ida Mountains ( Kaz Dagi ).
