Yıldızeli

Yildizeli is a town and a district of Sivas Province in Turkey. The town has 8,905 inhabitants and the county 19,064 inhabitants. The county Yildizeli lies in the west of the province and borders the provinces of Tokat and Yozgat. Before 1936 the place was called Yenihan ( dt: New building ). Armenians and Kurds use the name Norhan, which has the same meaning. The place was named after the Yildiz Mountains north of the city.
