Yılmaz Vural

Yılmaz Vural (2013 )

Yılmaz Vural ( born January 1, 1953 in Adapazarı ) is a former Turkish football player and coach. In addition to the Turkish Vural also has the German nationality. Since the mid- 1980s, he lived in Germany as well as in Turkey and commutes between the two countries.

Playing career

Vural began his football career first as an amateur in the reserve team Sakaryaspors. After just one year he left that team and played in sequence with the amateur man clubs Sakarya Serdivan Gençlikspor, Sakarya and Bolu Geyvespor Çilimlispor.

In the summer of 1974, he moved with a professional contract equipped at that second division club Sivasspor. Already a playing time later he left this club again and moved to the third league Tekirdağspor. In this club Vural worked for two seasons. In the third League 1976/77 season he reached with his team the championship of the third Türkiye Futbol Ligi and rose to the second highest Turkish league. After this success, he moved within 3 League for capital club Hacettepe GK. After this club but the end of season missed the league and relegation in the amateur league, Vural moved within the city and to the second-division club Ankara Demirspor. Here he played a season and then finished his studies in favor of his sport football playing career.

With his degree completion Vural further ruled to continue his academic career abroad and moved in 1980 to Cologne here renomminierte the German Sports University in Cologne to visit. During his studies Vural began to play soccer ball as an amateur player in the local leagues. He played in the 1980 and 1982 consecutively for the clubs 08 Germania Forchheim, TKV Forchheim and Ataspor 74 eV Cologne. He then started alongside his studies to work as a coach.

Coaching career

In 1986, Vural with Malatyaspor his first team as a coach. Although he coached numerous teams in Turkey, it was not possible to step one of the three big clubs in Turkey ( Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Beşiktaş Istanbul). He planned with Fenerbahçe five consecutive years to become masters of the highest Turkish league, if he managed to coach this team. He was not hired by Fenerbahçe, contrary to his plans as coach.

Yilmaz Vural caused a media buzz, after unsuccessfully offered after the resignation of Fatih Terim in 2009 for the post of coach of the Turkish national football team.

October 10, 2012, he took over as coach at the first division Sanica Boru Elazığspor and replaced the retired Bülent Uygun. This, by the press already considered as descended club, he gained the necessary points and secured three weeks before the end of season relegation countries. After the season he could not agree with the club for a further Zusammenararbeit. From club side was announced that Vural would have put the condition would have full control over the upcoming Spielerzu and sales.

In March 2014 Vural took over the second division Mersin İdman Yurdu and replaced the dismissed head coach Hakan Kutlu.
