Yukikaze (anime)
Sentō Yosei Yukikaze (Japanese戦 闘 妖精·雪 风, literally " Kampffee Snow Wind ") is a science-fiction novel cycle of Chohei Kambayashi, which was implemented as anime.
Action
33 years ago launched an alien power called JAM through a hyperspace corridor over the Antarctic an invasion of Earth. However, established by the United Nations Earth Force could push back on a distant planet called Fairy aliens. There goes the struggle, unnoticed by the majority of the world's population, continue. On this planet the Fairy Air Force (FAF ) fights against the JAM. The series shows the path of the pilot Rei Fukai and his fighter plane, the Yukikaze, a highly advanced, almost sentient and equipped with a high artificial intelligence aircraft, which can sense the presence of the JAM in its vicinity.

- Rei Fukai (深井 零, Fukai Rei): Second Lieutenant (later First Lieutenant) Rei Fukai is the pilot of the Yukikaze and a member of the 5th squadron " Boomerang " of the Special Air Force ( SAF), a special unit of the FAF. Anime
Based on the first novel adapted Gonzo as this five-part original video animation.
The first episode - the episodes are called in the anime surgery - was released in Japan on 25 August 2002, the second on 25 February 2003, the third on 22 August 2003, the fourth on 23 April 2004 and the last on 26. published August 2005.
In Germany, the five episodes have been released on three DVDs as Yukikaze with Panini video. In English, the series is available on three DVDs for Bandai Entertainment.
On television, the series was broadcast in the Japanese television station AT -X, and in English at Animax -Asia.

Awards
Yukikaze won in the fifth Tōkyō Kokusai Anime Fair in 2006, the Tōkyō Anime prize for "Best Original Video Animation " along with Karas. This price could win the 2003 series already.
Spin-off
Published in 2005 by Studio Fantasia, the spin-off OVA Sentō Yosei shōjo: Tasukete! Mave - chan (戦闘 妖精 少女 たすけ て!メイヴ ちゃん).
