Zabriskie Point

The Zabriskie Point is a viewpoint in the area of the mountain range of the Amargosa Range in Death Valley National Park, which is known for its bizarre erosion landscape around the former Lake Manly. He was named in the early 20th century by Christian Brevoort Zabriskie of Wyoming, the Vice-President and Managing Director of Pacific Coast Borax Company, which was entrusted with the Boraxabbau in the area.

Trivia

The viewpoint and the landscape in front of it was known by Michelangelo Antonioni's film Zabriskie Point in 1970. The photo of the album The Joshua Tree of the Irish band U2 has also been included here.
