Zacharias Dase

Johann Martin Zacharias Dase ( born June 23, 1824 in Hamburg, † September 11, 1861 ) was a German calculator and computer artist.

Dase was in his youth a passionate preference for the Computing and devoted himself to the practice in almost every free hour. Since 1839, he came into Germany, Austria and England as mathematical geniuses.

So he multiplied in Vienna 40ziffrige number by another 40ziffrigen in 40 minutes in Wiesbaden a 60ziffrige with another 60ziffrigen in 2 hours 59 minutes in animated conversation of the company and moved to Munich, the square root of a 60ziffrigen number in 20 minutes and one from a 100ziffrigen in 52 minutes.

Within two months, he calculated the wave number π exactly 200 points.

In six hours of intense mental arithmetic he recognized the Repunitzahl R11 as a composite number.

Dase was in contact with Carl Friedrich Gauss.
