Zachrašťany

Zachrašťany ( German Zach Rasch Tian ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers south of Nový Bydžov and belongs to Okres Hradec Králové.

Geography

Zachrašťany is located on the right side of the Cidlina on a hill on the East Bohemian panel. Southwest of the hill rises Kamenec (259 m). in the east runs the railway line Velky Osek - Trutnov.

Neighboring towns are Zábědov and Chudonice in the north, Osek and Humburky in the northeast, Vysočany in the east, Bydžovská Lhotka in the southeast, Mlékosrby, Luková and Zadražany in the south, Nepolisy and Žabí Lhotka in the southwest, Lužec nad Cidlinou in the west and Nova Skřeněř and Stara Skřeněř in northwest.

History

The first written mention of the town took place in 1287. Zachrašťany The village was built on the site of an ancient festivals that had been conquered and destroyed in 1425 during the Hussite Wars.

After the abolition of patrimonial Zachrašťany formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Nový Bydžov. With the construction of the railway United Wossek - Wostromer the village was in 1870 a railway connection. Since 1961, the community is part of the Zachrašťany Okres Hradec Králové. Between 1980 and 1990 Zachrašťany was incorporated to Nový Bydžov.
