Záhorská Bystrica

Záhorská Bystrica ( German Bisternitz, Hungarian Pozsonybeszterce - Beszterce to 1907 ) is located at the foothills of the Little Carpathians, a northern district of Bratislava.

Description and History

The village was mentioned in documents in 1208 for the first time as Bisztric and was heavily influenced from 1520 due to the influx of Croatian settlers. On January 1, 1972, he came as a district of the city of Bratislava.
