Zakhar Bron

Zakhar Bron ( German transcription Zahar Bron, Russian Захар Нухимович Брон, [ zɐ'хar nu'ximɔwitʃ brɔn ]; born December 17, 1947 in Uralsk ) is a provider in Germany, Switzerland and Spain Russian violinist and violin teacher.

Career

First, he learned violin in " Stolyarski school" in Odessa. Later he studied in Moscow with Boris Goldstein at the Gnessin Institute in Moscow and at the Moscow Conservatory with Igor Oistrakh.

After his studies, which he completed in 1971, he worked not only as a violinist but also taught at various conservatories, so first in Novosibirsk ( 1974-1988 ), later in Lübeck, London and Madrid. Since 1997 he is professor at the Cologne University of Music and at the Zurich University of the Arts and several others.

The eminent violinist, a former pupil and assistant of Igor Oistrakh, strengthened his reputation as an outstanding teacher of the violin after his student Vadim Repin, Maxim Vengerov, Igor Malinovsky, Daniel Hope and David Garrett came to worldwide fame.

His son Daniel Bron is a cellist.
