Zaloňov

Zaloňov ( German Salnai ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers north-west of Jaroměř and belongs to Okres Náchod.

History

Zaloňov was first mentioned in writing in 1361 by the Latin name Zalonow villa. It belonged to Hradec Kralove and was part of the rule Opočno. The 1363 mentioned church of St. Peter and Paul was a branch of Semonice ( Semonitz ). End of the 14th century was Zaloňov part of the rule Žireč ( apron). This sold in 1539 Georg von Gersdorff on Choltitz ( Jiřík z Gerštorfu a na Cholticích ) Adam Zilvar of Pilník, whose family was expropriated after the Battle of the White Mountain because of their participation in the Bohemian uprising. The rule Žireč took over on July 8, 1622 Mary Magdalene Trček of Lipa born Lobkowitz, the rule Opočno already belonged and the 1623 also confiscated dominions Náchod and Nove Mesto nad Metují acquired. After the murder of her son Adam Erdmann Trček of Lipa in 1634 confiscated in Eger Emperor Ferdinand III. all Trček goods. The rule Žireč with Zaloňov that bore at this time the name Salmov ( Salnay ), gave the Emperor 1635 the Vienna Jesuit College of St. Anna. After the dissolution in 1773 the rule Žireč fell to the religious fund, which they sold in 1828 the landowner Martin Wagner. During this time, 349 residents, a school, a church and two estates are demonstrated for Zaloňov.

After the abolition of patrimonial 1848 Zaloňov was an independent municipality until 1938 and belonged to the district court Jaroměř. Around 1930 was electrified. After the Munich Agreement in 1938 Zaloňov, which was inhabited mainly German, the German Empire was slammed and belonged until 1945 to the district Trautenau. In the years 1945 and 1946, the expulsion of the German inhabitants took place.

1945 Zaloňov was incorporated into the Okres Jaroměř; after its dissolution it came to the Okres Náchod July 1, 1960.

The municipality includes the districts Zaloňov Zaloňov ( Salnai ), Horni Dolce ( Oberdolzen ) Rtyně ( Ertin ) and Vestec ( Westetz ).

Attractions

  • The apostles Peter and Paul church, consecrated was first mentioned in 1363 and destroyed in the Hussite Wars. 1725 a new church was built in the Baroque style in place by the Jesuits. This was removed in 1893 and built from 1898 to 1900 a new church in the Gothic Revival style.
  • The rectory was built in 1785.
