Zeina Shaban

Zaina Shaban ( Arab زينة شعبان, DMG Zaina Ša ʿ bān, Zeina Shaban often or Sha'ban; born 12 May 1988 in Amman ) is a Jordanian table tennis player. She studied at the Royal Holloway College, University of London, the subjects economics and management.

Shaban playing table tennis since she was eight years old. In 2003 she was elected to her native Jordan for athlete of the year and became an icon. At age 16, she participated already at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and reached the 33rd place. Since the season 2005/2006 Shaban also has inserts for the II and III. Had women's team from 3B Berlin in the top, regional and 2nd Bundesliga.

On 8 August 2008 she was the flag bearer at the official opening ceremony of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games for her country Jordan.

In the preprocessing round of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, she was eliminated by the Czech Dana Hadačová with 0:4 sets.

Currently occupied Shaban in the ITTF World Ranking 278 (December 2008). Your best ranking was World No. 269 ( June 2005).
