Geographical Location

The community Zeitlarn located approximately 10 kilometers north of the city center of Regensburg. The river rain pervades the entire municipality, which makes it always comes back to flooding of populated areas in almost all parts of municipalities.

History

On 1 May 1978, founded in 1818, communities rain village and Zeitlarn merged to form community Zeitlarn. The former municipality rain village is the only one west of the rain and is only connected by a bridge to the other parts of the municipality. This is one of the reasons why is still distinguished in the community between " Zeitlarnern " and " rain villages ". As suburbs community took place in the last decades strong growth.

Coat of arms
