Željko Rebrača

Željko Rebrača, Cyrillic Жељко Ребрача, ( born April 9, 1972 in Prigrevica ) is a retired Serbian professional basketball player who played at a height of 2.13 m on the position of the center.

Rebrača played between 1992 and 2001 when the top clubs KK Partizan Belgrade, Benetton Treviso and Panathinaikos Athens where he gained a number of titles and awards. Outstanding was in it for him the 1999/2000 season that could end with the Greek Championship and winning the European Cup of Champion and was voted MVP of the Finals. After Rebrača was in 1994 selected by the Seattle SuperSonics in the Drafts at 54th place, he moved in 2001 to the NBA and the Atlanta Hawks. All- Rookie Second Team, where he was, despite years of international experience, for his achievements in the first year in the NBA NBA appointed. He subsequently worked for the Detroit Pistons and the Los Angeles Clippers Rebrača returned back to Europe in 2007 and signed a contract with Spanish side Valencia Pamesa. On 17 December 2007 Rebrača was due to persistent injury problems, his resignation.

National

In the Serbian national Rebrača is one of the best players. In addition to two world championships, he also won three times European Championship gold and silver at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. At the 2005 European Championships in their own country Rebrača failed with Serbia in the quarterfinals to France with 71:74.
