Zimbert Jenisch

Zimbert Jenischhaus (* 1587 in Augsburg, † November 28, 1645 in Hamburg ) was a German businessman.

Life

Jenischhaus came from the Kaufmann family of Jenischhaus and was the son of the Augsburg furrier and Council member Jenischhaus Melchior and his wife Elisabeth, daughter of Trade Mr. Hans Haintzel of Degelstein. About his mother was Jenischhaus descendant of the Welser family.

After the first broad training which he had received from his father, Jenischhaus came already in 1589 to his relatives Eleazar Jenischhaus to Hamburg. With this, a business partner of his father, Jenischhaus received a comprehensive business education.

As Jenischhaus had in 1618 received the citizenship of the city of Hamburg, he founded together with his relatives the company Paul Puetz & Zimbrecht Jenischhaus which very soon was able to achieve between the White Sea and the Mediterranean great success in import-export. 1618 Jenischhaus married his first wife, Maria Elisabeth plaster from Stade.

Zimbert Jenischhaus was raised in 1629 in the imperial nobility, but did according to Hamburger exercise the peerage not (see Hanseatic League and needle).

After the death of his first wife, he married a second time in 1635, namely Amsinck Esther, daughter of businessman and Hamburg senator Rudolf Amsinck. Originally from this marriage son Paul is the great-grandfather of Senator Martin Johann Jenischhaus the elderly.

1641 founded Jenischhaus with the "Elder man of climber " in Danish at that time Gluckstadt the company Compagnie Drondheimbsche to introduce cheaper fish to Germany.

At the age of about 58 years Zimbert Jenischhaus died on November 28, 1645 in Hamburg.
