Zlaté Moravce
Zlaté Moravce ( Goldmorawitz German, Hungarian Aranyosmarót - to 1877 Aranyosmaróth ) is a town in central Slovakia and is a district its name.
Location
The place is located in an open south boiler-type indentation of Tribetzgebirges and is divided into the three parts of municipalities Chyzerovce (1970 amalgamated; Hiserowitz German, Hungarian Hizer ) Přílepy (1960 amalgamated; Landshof German, Hungarian Perlep ) and Zlaté Moravce. From 1975 to 2002 the municipality Žitavany belonged to the city.
History
The town was first mentioned in 1113 as a villa Morowa ( "City of the Moravians " ) and suffered severe damage during the Turkish wars. Through the development of craft guilds, however, a boom came into the city, which has marked them to this day.

- Built Catholic St. Michael's Church in 1785 in the classical style
- Renaissance castle, built in 1630, 1779/1789 rebuilt in baroque style
