History

The race took place before the beginning of May and until 2004 every year in August in Zurich, but due to the redesign of the UCI race calendar early October it was held since 2005. In April 2007 it was announced that the organizers were not able to attract enough sponsors to cover the budget of 1.2 million Swiss francs, which is why the race did not take place in October 2007.
